Case study: Craft liqueurs, Switzerland

Advice like in the shop, on WhatsApp, even when the shop is closed.

For Li-Cœurs d'Art, a craft liqueur maker in Valais, our team built Léa: an assistant on WhatsApp and on the website that gives advice, prepares orders and organizes tastings. The same model then equipped a second cellar in the canton.

Methodology: the results on this page are qualitative. They come from operating the tools and from the testing done before each launch. We publish client-specific percentages only once they are measured and approved.

Context

Li-Cœurs d'Art makes craft liqueurs in Valais, Switzerland: génépi, Williams pear, wild thyme, larch flowers... Customers want advice for an occasion (aperitif, digestif, gift), want to place an order or come for a tasting.

The business wanted a WhatsApp agent to answer visitors and book tastings, with the option of replicating the solution for other cellars. The starting point:

  • Questions that also come in when the shop is closed
  • Selling alcohol, which requires an age check before anything else
  • A catalog, pairings and an events calendar to keep up to date, without technical skills
  • Customers who write in French, English or German

Challenge

Answer at any hour, in the customer's language, without stepping out of its role: the agent prepares, the business closes the sale.

1

Follow the rules on alcohol

Before starting, Léa asks whether the person is over 18. If not, she politely declines to continue and explains that the products are for adults only.

2

Advise without inventing

Recommend a liqueur for an occasion, or a food pairing, from the business's own information only. When the answer is not in the knowledge bases, offer to contact the business directly.

3

Leave control with the business

Products, prices and events had to be editable without touching the agent or calling a technician.

Solution: Léa, an assistant connected to a spreadsheet and to the inbox

An assistant built by our team, which also handles its technical follow-up. She answers from the business's data, collects what is needed for the next step, and notifies the business of every request.

  1. 1

WhatsApp and the website, one path

The customer writes on WhatsApp or opens the widget on the website. After the age check, Léa shows a main menu and the customer picks what they need. She replies in the customer's language and politely steers off-topic questions back to the liqueurs and the business.

  2. 2

    Four bases in one spreadsheet

Léa draws on four bases: the FAQ (the business, its history, its craft approach), the products (name, price, format, alcohol content, availability), food and liqueur pairings, and the events calendar (open days, public tastings). Each one is a tab in a Google Sheet, and a menu added to the spreadsheet sends one tab, or all four, to Léa's knowledge base.

  3. 3

    Requests ready to handle

For an order, Léa collects the products and full contact details. For a tasting, the number of people and the preferred time slots. For a callback, the exact reason. She takes no payment: customers pay on pickup.

  4. 4

    Two emails for every request

About a minute after the customer confirms, an n8n workflow sends a summary to the customer and a copy to the business. Three templates: order confirmation (with the estimated total), tasting request, contact request.

  5. 5

    Tracking without re-typing

Each contact is logged in a tracking tab: conversation ID, name, email, phone, stated need. The full history of WhatsApp conversations stays available, with the time of each message.

  6. 6

    A guide to replicate it

A usage and implementation guide comes with the agent. The same model then equipped a second cellar in Valais.

Results

No percentages on this page: we only publish a client rate once it is measured and approved. The results below are observed in operation.

An assistant available 24/7, on WhatsApp and on the website

A summary to the customer, and a copy to the business, about a minute after each confirmed request

Content the business edits on its own in a spreadsheet, without touching the agent

The same model deployed in a second Valais cellar

The honest framing: Léa does not replace the business. She advises and prepares; the business takes payment, confirms the appointment and keeps the relationship.
